The Industrial Research Institute is accredited by the Deutsches Akkreditierungssystem Prüfwesen (DAP) represented in the Deutscher Akkreditierungs Rat, Germany, considered to be be one of the most rigorous in Europe.
IRI is the only accredited body in Lebanon by an European Accreditation body.
The scope of IRI's accreditation covers:
- Microbiological, chemical and physical-chemical analyses of food and animal feeding stuff, water for human consumption and wastewater.
- Microbiological analyses of cosmetics, wet wipes and baby diapers
- Chemical, physical-chemical, rhelogical and preparative-gravimetric analysis of grain and flour.
- Sampling of cereals, grains, pulses, feed, milled products and by-products in bullk and sac;
- Environmental and electrical testing for the degree of protection against water (IP code), the resistance to heat of technical products and cranking performance test of lead acid batteries.
