LCPC Awareness Seminar

INTRODUCTION

The Lebanese Cleaner Production Centre (LCPC) was established with the support of European Commission- EC-Life, UNIDO, the Austrian Government, the Ministry of Environment (MoE) and the Industrial Research Institute (IRI). It is building up its capacity to become the centre of excellence in Lebanon for Cleaner Production (CP), offer CP consultancy to Lebanese SME’s and facilitate the transfer to Cleaner Processes.
As part of its work agenda, LCPC would like to invite you to attend a seminar entitled: “Cleaner Production in Lebanon: A Two-way Bridge Between Environment & Industry” on Monday, 28th June 2004 at the Industrial Research Institute in Hadath, Lebanese University Campus.

AIM

This seminar aims at addressing both environmental and industrial sectors in Lebanon in an attempt to introduce the concept and technologies of clean production and raise the awareness of the main stakeholders in clean production. Such a seminar is of utmost importance for fostering partnership and a two-way dialogue between the two sectors. Such a seminar will hopefully motivate the active involvement of the industry and environment in the decision-making process.

OBJECTIVES
* To introduce the concept of clean production to the industrial and environmental sectors.
* To promote an active dialogue between the two sectors on a round table.
