The Director General of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO), H.E. Mohammed Bin-Yousef carries out a two-day mission to Lebanon holding discussions with executives from the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the Ministry of Industry, and the Industrial Research Institute.

During his visit to IRI, Bin-Yousef met with Director General, Dr. Bassam Frenn, Acting Director General of the Ministry of Industry, Mr. George Khoury, and LCPC Director Dr. Ali Yaacoub to discuss broadening the relations between AIDMO and IRI. In addition, AIDMO’s Director General discloses the guidelines of the General Secretary of the Arab League for increasing the number of meetings, conferences, and symposiums in Beirut in order to reestablish their confidence and improve investment conditions in Lebanon.

Subsequently, Dr. Frenn proposes the recommendations issued by the Coordination Committee of the Industrial Research Centers in the Arab countries during its seventh meeting, regarding their invitation to all Arab nations to create units for Cleaner Production techniques within the framework of the Industrial Research Centers.
