| Metrology and Calibration Services |
 |
The IRI metrology laboratory is equipped
with high precision instruments used in the verification of
calibration of various measuring devices. These verifications
are conducted following the most up-to-date international
standard such as: EN-ISO-CEI 17025 of May 2005 and
others.
These services could be requested either in-house or in IRI’s premises.
Our verifications cover the following basic measurements
Temperature:
Verification
of
thermometers, thermocouples, ovens,
refrigerators, etc., ranging between –70°C and
1200°C.
Pressure/Vacuum:
Verifications,
ranging from
1 to 500
bars and from 1 to -0.7
bar.
Weights:
Verification of weights
and balances ranging from 1mg to
200kg.
Dimensions:
Verification of
gauge blocks, micrometers, vernier calipers, comparators,
etc.
Forces:
Verification of
universal testing machines, load
cells, torque, and compression
machines ranging from 0 to 4000
kN.
Electricity:
Verification of
measuring instruments for voltage, amperage, resistance,
capacitance, frequency, induction etc…
Most of our
references are frequency calibrated against international
references.
The metrology laboratory
offers also verification services by comparison between
instruments such as: rotation (Tachometer), light intensity
(Luxmeter), sound level, angle measurement, as well as
verification of reference solutions in the metrology of
chemistry.
Furthermore, our laboratory works in close
collaboration with international organizations such as the
French “Laboratoire National des Essais –
LNE” and the
French “Bureau National de Métrologie –
BNM”.
We have implemented work
procedures conforming
to international standards,
in the aim of getting international
accreditation.
